Last month I found great site that host many anime movies. That is why I called it Youtube for Anime: CrunchyRoll. As I mentioned in my previous post that to download a high quality movie needs to donate in order to keep the site bandwidth.

I have a question in previous post that how to download video from CrunchyRoll site? And I found this question is a very popular question around CrunchyRoll keyword. After some search through Google, I haven’t found any site that mention the How-To download video from CrunchyRoll. So I decide to research on my own.

Do you know that download video from CrunchyRoll for Firefox user is very easy? Only three steps to make it done. So, why don’t you download Firefox

Three steps to download video from CrunchyRoll:
Before we start if you are using Firefox, you can continue to first step. For non-Firefox user, you should download Firefox first. Because this method only can be done in Firefox.

Download and install DownloadHelper plugin for Firefox.
Browse and select your favorite video from CrunchyRoll.
While you in video page you will see a three colored balls flashing (see picture), left click and choice the first one of the file and save it as .flv file.

That’s all. Very simple steps.

Please note that:

CrunchyRoll is one of fansub site, it means that this site is maintenance by fan, not a professional one like YouTube.
You should considerate to donate to ensure the site can continue to provide videos.
Video you are about to download is in medium (or poor) quality, you can have the high quality video if you buy some bandwidth for them.

Thanks for the info but it’s not working for me. First I got 3 color balls rolling so I clicked it and it shows all the list of media sites but there is no files to download as u mentioned in ur sample image. Then after a while the rolling color balls gone gray and no longer active. But it’s still clickable and only list all the media site links.
Any idea what I might gone wrong or any suggestion on how to get proper download file like urs?

Yo, I tried dling it however it only plays half a second of the video on vlc media player and it freezes WM player

I have never experienced error on downloading and playing the movies, unless the movie I downloaded was interupted somehow. So I got corupted file.
That is one scenario.

have you checked the original movie? Maybe the movie it self is corrupted.

if you don,t mind, you could send me the url and I will try to download it. So I can check what went wrong.

When you play the file you only hear sound coz its on FLV format you need video codec for it. I suggest you install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack.

Main thing are three rolling colour balls and it must be active. Then go -> tools -> downloadhelper-> click on the first offered file and save it as .flv (example:thenameofthefile .flv) ((thenameofthefile(space)(dot)flv))

- no files to download: Wait for the video to at least loads 1/10 or something, then only you try to download it. Or you left it waaay too long, (there’s a timeout in the preference that can be set before the link disappear)

- can’t play/only sound: its either its corrupted or you don’t have the codec for flv. google for k-lite codec pack OR quicktime alternative.

such as preferences, about, help, check url etc.

kakak, aku streaming sambil coba download di cruchyroll kok ga bisa ya, awalnya emang muncul icon 3 lingkarang berwarna terus ga lama kemudian warnanya jadi abu2 alias ga aktif, tapi kalo di klik cmn muncul daftar sites2, kalo di klik kanan cmn muncul option preferences, suppor sites, download queue, help, dll, bisa ngasih pencerahan ga kakak?

if you dont have firefox:

logon to your crunchyroll account and get the url of the specific flv you’d like to grab…

i dont know if this works for you but it does for me. go to any site that allows you to grab flv files. i go to keepvid.com… there’s a box there that tells you to paste the url of the flv, click the download button and just follow the instruction that come out. ciao, happy downloading! ;p

Hi! There’s much more easier step to download from crunchyroll! Just copy and paste the link (yes, the one with .html) to http://keepvid.com/ . It’s as simple as that. Just wait a few secs, then when the downloadable link is available, you can right click, and save link as. You can also use a download manager.

Just my 2 cents.

but everytime i try to download wid firefox the website page gives this msg - ‘You either have javascript turned off or an old version of adobe’s flash player.’ so no three balls appear. is there a website like keepvid that can help? i tried Videoget from nuclear coffee but that did not download the videoes either. Hope u reply soon. i m dying to watch kyou kara maou season 3
