Since early May 2007, everyone in my company has been given a phone allowance. Some employee got it for free and the rest is like me, paying certain debt to sum up the total expense of phone. And I got Nokia N73 Music Edition.
I admit that Nokia N73 has adorable feature such as:
- 2 GB external memory
- 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics
- Advanced auto-focus and mechanical shutter
- Large, bright 2.4-inch display
- Stereo FM and support for Visual Radio
- Integrated 3-D stereo speakers
Ok, you think by these features, Nokia N73 is for you. You should think twice to buy it, especially for a typical guy like me. the following are the things I hate in Nokia N73.
An non-configurable shortcut button of Notes, Music. Nokia N73 has a 4 button around its keypad. Two of them is Notes and Music shortcut. Its function is represented by its name. For once I think that these button are a very special button that can not be changed its function. But then I was wrong. When I change certain shortcut in standby mode and several applications in a my preferable folder, that is the time of these 2 buttons lose their function. After a workaround, I finally manage to undo all the changes and revert the application to its original position. And yet I found my self hating the function to move the application is useless. There are a trade off for moving an application from folder to another. So, my choice is I move the application to my preference and let the 2 buttons malfunction.
A very close and flat keypad of Nokia N73. The keypad is very close from one button to another, yet flat! For a guy with big thumb is very annoying. Especially to hit the “c” button, unreachable! I almost always miss this “c” button.
A limited hardware resource. A slow response and limited memory is a common problem when using Nokia N73. This is where I conclude that this phone is not suitable for an office (or business) guy like me.
Anyway, I thank to God for this wonderful camera and music phone. Thought I still miss my Sony Ericsson T610.

For me the most important is 70% OFF bwahahahahah but actually I little bit agree with this statement, the New N73 less then I expected before. My Old N(red:Ndeso)3350 Series was more user friendly. o ya the most I hate about this handheld is the new navigation. I think Nokia propose to follow the popularity of SE navigation button, but it totally fail and has made a scratch in my hand. Damn!!!
